Finton's Frolic: Get Your Sunscreen on, The Future With Gabriel is Even Brighter than his Teeth

By Daniel Finton (Deputy Editor)

What up, pimps?

Welcome one and welcome all to the Finton's Frolic right opinion zone. I'm writing this piece immediately after watching Arsenal's 0-1 win to Manchester United at Old Trafford and well, I'm feeling "chuffed" as the Brits would say.

It was an incredibly resilient outing that perfectly portrays how far Mikel Arteta has taken our previously pathetic defense. Finally, the side are difficult to break down and the spine that I, and many others once deemed feeble is solidifying in a major way. Arteta deserves all the plaudits and praise in which he is getting at the moment, however it is very fair to say that heaps of appreciation should also be thrusted ontowards that of the new "spinal signings".

Gabriel Magalhães and Thomas Partey are showing that they are just the metaphoric spine transplant the Gunners needed so desperately (that's the last spine analogy, I promise).

I, for one am of course excited for both, but find the already present assurance of gabriel particularly exciting. While Partey showed his physical capabilities against united, emasculating the sizeable, Paul Pogba, he is 27 years old and at the peak of his career. Contrarily, the central defender from Lille is just 22 and is already an incredibly powerful presence in the back, surely no one expected such a dominant force.

The sides future with Gabriel looks to be as bright as his bordering obnoxiously white teeth and it's about time we get this excited about a defender. Put on your SPF 50 Gooners, otherwise you'll get a painful sunburn from the shear brightness of his potential fruitful future with us.

That's all for this week pimps, a short, bad mamma jamma today, I'll let y'all off easy. In a nutshell, Gab is a fucking Don and the future of our defense. I'm not scared to say that proudly. Until next time, Toodloo...!
